Use the domain checker on our website to search for your preferred name with the .mu extension. If it is available, add it to your cart and complete the order with the registrant details (name, email, address). We handle the registration with the .mu registry and confirm by email once it is active. .mu is the official country-code domain for Mauritius and is ideal for businesses targeting the local market.

Yes. Choose the transfer option in the domain checker, place the order, and have your transfer authorisation code (EPP code) ready from your current registrar. Most transfers complete within 5 to 7 days, and your website and email keep working throughout.

Nameservers tell the internet where your website and email are hosted. You can see the nameservers currently set on each of your domains in your client area under My Domains → Nameservers, and request a change from the same page. Our support team applies changes quickly, and DNS propagation worldwide can take up to 24–48 hours.

Your client area shows the exact renewal date of every domain and service. We also email you reminders ahead of each renewal — by default 30, 21, 14, 7 and 1 days before — so a renewal never catches you by surprise. Unless you ask us to cancel, a renewal invoice is raised automatically.

Log in to your client area and click "Request cancellation" next to the domain or service. As long as you request cancellation before the renewal date, no renewal invoice will be raised. Cancelled domains expire at the end of their current term.

Domain names may use letters, numbers and hyphens, cannot begin or end with a hyphen, and most extensions have minimum and maximum length rules. Some country-code extensions also have eligibility requirements. If a name you want is rejected, contact us and we will advise on alternatives.

We invoice manually — there is no automatic card charge. When you place an order on our website, our sales team receives it and sends you an invoice. You can settle by MCB Juice, online bank transfer or the payment methods listed on your invoice. Your services are activated once payment is confirmed.

All prices shown on our website are exclusive of VAT. VAT is added on your invoice where applicable. DDBHOSTING LTD is VAT-registered in Mauritius (VAT 27923062, BRN C21180500).

Yes — and it is cheaper. Hosting plans paid yearly save you around 10% compared to paying month by month.

Yes. Every hosting plan includes professional email at your own domain (you@yourcompany.mu), with the number of mailboxes depending on the plan. We also offer dedicated email hosting and Google Workspace if you prefer Gmail with your own domain.

Your welcome email contains the incoming and outgoing server settings for your account. Most mail apps configure automatically once you enter your email address and password; for manual setup, use the IMAP/SMTP details we provide. If you get stuck, our support team will walk you through it.
